Introduction Of Bsc MLT
BSc MLT or Bachelor in Science in Medical Laboratory Technology is a subject that aims to provide qualified and sound professionals in Laboratory medicine, research, and technology. This subject is more biased for students who have chosen science in 10+2 or people with a diploma in related subjects.
Eligibility Criteria for BSc MLT

Passed 10+2 Science or equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) with 50% aggregate in total marks or GPA 2.4 OR,

Secured the percentage equivalent to the above eligibility in regards to the certificate level programs (eg. A-Level) with a different grading system OR,
-
Applicants who have passed the Health Science Proficiency Certificate/Diploma (General Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Ophthalmic Science, Dental Science, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Radiography, Physiotherapy) with at least 50% aggregate in total marks AND
-
Registered in Nepal Health Professional Council of Nepal Pharmacy Council or Nepal Ayurveda Council as per related educational program.
The objective of Bsc MLT are given below:

Produce professional graduates in laboratory medicine who are academically sound, technically skilled, and creative

Produce the manpower that can operate the research shell at the zonal, and national levels.

To perform the managerial jobs, supervision of the quality controls over the periodic submission of the laboratory result.

To assist in interpreting the results and principles of either of the investigation.

Scope Of Bsc MLT in Nepal
After studying BSc MLT you can work as a lab technician in places such as hospitals, research labs, blood banks, industry labs, health posts, Clinics, and nursing homes. You can also work for health-related organizations, government departments, and nongovernmental organizations. Plus, you can also apply in pharmaceutical industries, the Medical manufacturing industry, and as a Lab Technician in foreign countries.
Seats of Bsc MLT in Nepali Universities
Per our information, Gandaki Medical College (GMC), Pokhara, Universal College of Medical Sciences and Teaching Hospital (UCMS), Rupandehi, Rajarshi Janak University, and Dhanusa have 20 seats each for this subject.
Also, Little Angels College of Higher Studies (LACHS), Lalitpur, Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences (MMIHS), Kathmandu, have 15 sets each for this course.
In addition, Modern Technical College, Lalitpur, Nobel College, Kathmandu, have 30 seats each for this course.
There are also Pokhara University School of Health and Allied Sciences, Pokhara which has 25 seats, BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Sunsari which has 10 seats, and Janamaitri Foundation Institute of Health Sciences, Kathmandu, which has 40 seats.
