Bachelor in Agriculture in Nepal

Bachelor in Agriculture is an undergraduate course in Nepal. The course lasts for four years. This course provides in-depth study in Agriculture, techniques and studies concerning Nepal and the world. This subject teaches all technical and non-technical subjects needed for the course. Eligibility Criteria based on Universities

AFU (Agriculture and Forestry University)

Minimum 2.4 GPA in aggregate and minimum C in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics separately and must have appeared in the 100 marks exam of Biology and Mathematics in +2 level or equivalent.
 

TU(Tribhuvan University)

Minimum 2.4 GPA in aggregate and minimum C in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics separately and must have appeared in the 100 marks exam of Biology and Mathematics in +2 level or equivalent.

 

KU(Kathmandu University)

Minimum 2.4 GPA in aggregate and minimum C in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics separately and must have appeared in the 100 marks exam of Biology and Mathematics in +2 level or equivalent.

 

PU(Purbanchal University)

Minimum 2 GPA in aggregate and minimum C in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics separately and must have appeared in the 100 marks exam of Biology and Mathematics in +2 level or equivalent.

  

Far Western University

Minimum 2.4 GPA in aggregate and minimum C in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics separately and must have appeared in the 100 marks exam of Biology and Mathematics in +2 level or equivalent.

 

Mid Western University

Minimum 2.4 GPA in aggregate and minimum C in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics separately and must have appeared in the 100 marks exam of Biology and Mathematics in +2 level or equivalent.

Scope of Bachelor in Agriculture in Nepal

Students with this degree can work as agricultural officers, technicians, agro experts,  field officers, supervisors and laboratory specialists. You can also work in NGO/INGO, Factories,

Government and semi Government offices and abroad. In addition, you can also work in fields related to research and agro-business.

 

Seats of Bachelor in Agriculture in Nepali Colleges and Universities.

Agriculture and Forestry University with its affiliates has 187 full scholarships, and 143 partial scholarships with total seats for 650 students.

Tribhuvan University and its affiliates have a total of 125 full scholarships, and 69 partial scholarships with total seats of 550 students.

TU also has paid seats of 106 students.

Far Western University has 5 scholarships, and 75 partial scholarships with a total of 100 seats. Purvanchal University has a total of 230 seats. 

Kathmandu University has 30 seats and Mid Western University has 50 seats.

 

Course Cost/Duration

The course cost of this subject ranges from 4,50,000 to 821,000 NPR with the course lasting for 4 years.

 

Question Type

AFU

The entrance examination will be of 80 full marks, 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), and 1 hr. time. There is no system of "Negative marking". The examinee must use "Black Gel Pen" to encircle ‘O’ the correct answer choice. The examinee must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance examination to be eligible for the "Merit List".
